iPhone 14 orders flood in China causing Apple website to crash

Apple fans in China have pre-ordered more than 2 million iPhone 14 series via the Apple Store on JD.com just 24 hours following the pre-orders started on September 9.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are particularly popular, with the iPhone 14 Pro receiving more than 1 million bookings, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max received nearly 800,000 bookings.

Counterpoint data shows that the iPhone captured nearly 50% of the premium mobile phone market in China in the second quarter, with Vivo coming in second with 13%, and Huawei dropping to third with 11%.
