We have in our hands the most powerful iPhone of 2023. Does the 15 Pro Max bring major advances as Apple promises or just small refinements as seen in recent generations?
The design has changed little, but now we have a device made with a titanium body that is lighter than before. The big news is the adoption of the USB-C port, after years of investing in its own connection, Apple was forced to adopt the standard followed by other manufacturers.
The screen maintained the size, resolution, refresh rate and technology used. We only had a small increase in brightness for superior visibility on sunny days. Apple has not made any changes to the sound of its cell phone. The power is as good as before and the sound quality impresses with audio rich in bass, mids and treble.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max is equipped with the new A17 Pro chip, which comes with a faster processor and a GPU with an extra core with enough power to run even console games optimized for iOS, such as Resident Evil Village. And despite having 8 GB of RAM in this generation, the new Apple cell phone was slower in our multitasking test, perhaps due to the excessive heating that limits its power.
The battery grew and performed more in our test, being among the best in the category. The recharging time is still long and is close to 2 hours. The photographic set has received improvements, especially in the zoom part, which now features optical technology of up to 5x, as well as software adjustments that simulate 28mm and 35mm lenses for greater flexibility.
