Users on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max notice a problem on the camera when it is used on certain third-party applications.
It cannot be said that the launch of the new iPhones is going smoothly. Indeed, following bugs during activation it is the new photo block that is at the center of a small controversy. Several users experience strange camera behavior when the camera is used by certain third-party apps (like Snapchat, TikTok, or Instagram).
Users found that the camera made a strange noise and the screen had a vague effect. This noise is described as a kind of squeaking or grating according to users. In any case, nothing to reassure!
A software problem
At the moment, we do not know the official cause of this problem. But according to the first investigations of 9to5Mac, the vibrations might be caused by the optical stabilization module. The outlet also adds that since the problem only appears on third-party apps, but not Apple’s default photo app, it’s most likely a software glitch and not a default on Apple’s hardware. So something that might be fixed with an iOS update, or third-party apps
A scheduled update
Apple may quickly roll out a corrective software update. The iOS 16.0.2 version is therefore expected in the coming days. In the meantime, it is advised not to use your camera with these third-party apps. This is to avoid further property damage.
