iPhone: it is no longer possible to revert to iOS 15.4.1

Those who have installed iOS 15.5 will no longer be able to go back: Apple no longer signs the previous OS.

Regularly, when Apple deploys a new OS widely adopted by users, the company stops signing the previous update. This was the case with iOS 15.3.1, this is now the case with iOS 15.4.1. Thus, those who have installed iOS 15.5 in order to benefit from all the features it has will no longer be able to go back if they notice one or the other problem, such as a decrease in autonomy.

Released on May 16, iOS 15.5 replaced a 15.4.1 update that was rolled out primarily to fix an issue with batteries. Many users had indeed noticed that the lifespan no longer seemed the same since they had upgraded to iOS 15.4.

For their part, the jailbreakers are likely to regret this decision. They actually take advantage of downgrade to the previous update to hack their iPhone and benefit from all kinds of applications not available on the App Store. By stopping to sign iOS 15.4.1, Apple is thus ensuring that it limits the jailbreak.
