In a blog post, Kuo said that Apple will improve the fast charging of the “iPhones 15” on MFi-certified USB-C chargers, including its own 20W power adapter. As a result, he believes the company is anticipating a huge increase in demand for this accessory.
I believe that Apple will optimize the fast charging performance of MFi-certified chargers for iPhone 15. Among Apple’s chargers, the 20W USB-C model is the most cost-effective choice for iPhone users, resulting in strong replacement demand for the 20W USB-C charger.
In addition to the benefits of owning an Apple-certified charger, Kuo believes that another potential factor behind the strong demand will be the tendency for consumers to own more than one USB-C charger.
Therefore, Kuo points out that sales of Apple’s 20W USB-C charger are expected to have a significant growth of 30% to 40% compared to 2022, and could reach 240 million units. This will mainly benefit the LY iTechone of Apple’s accessory suppliers.
