iPhones 15 Pro/15 Pro Max have faster 5G than the previous generation

Os iPhones 15 Pro/15 Pro Max will only start to be delivered next week, but, according to data from SpeedSmartthey will bring a 5G about 24% faster than the iPhones 14 Pro/14 Pro Max — all thanks to modem X70from Qualcomm.

Also according to SpeedSmart, the Qualcomm X70 promises three key improvements:

Significantly lower energy consumption: Ensures users enjoy faster 5G speeds without draining their device’s battery.
Improved 5G carrier aggregation capabilities: Enhances iPhone 15 Pro/15 Pro Max’s ability to efficiently combine multiple 5G signals for faster, more stable connections.
Better remote connectivity: Even slightly away from a cell tower, users will be able to experience improved 5G performance.

The test was carried out with the three main telephone operators in the United States. Notably, Verizon users stand to benefit most from these improvements, followed closely by T-Mobile and AT&T customers.

While most of the improvements relate to download speeds, there are also “smaller increases” to upload speeds and significant improvements to pingensuring a more fluid and responsive online experience.

With an average download speed of 255Mbps on 5G, the iPhones 15 Pro present a considerable leap forward. Verizon leads the pack with a 24% increase in speed, followed by T-Mobile at 22% and AT&T at 14.6%.

Apple, as we know, is in the process of creating its own 5G modems, expected to be launched in a few years. However, Qualcomm recently announced that Apple will continue to use its modems until at least 2026.
