Batting first, Punjab scored 180 for eight. Liam Livingston scored a half-century for Punjab. Liam hit 60 off 32 balls, including five fours and five sixes.
Opening captain Mayank Agarwal was dismissed for just four while Shikhar Dhawan scored 33 off 24 balls. Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored nine runs, Jitesh Sharma 26 and Shah Rukh Khan six. O’Donnell Smith scored three, Casigo Rabada 12 not out, Rahul Chahar 12 and Vaibhav Arora one.
For Chennai, Chris Jordan and Pretoriaus took two wickets each while Mukesh Chaudhary, Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo took one wicket each.
