Mumbai: IPL points table changed again after Gujarat Titans defeated Kolkata Knight Riders. Gujarat beat Rajasthan Royals to the top spot. While the top six teams have completed eight matches each, Gujarat has reached the top spot with 12 points and a performance against the champions.
Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings, who have 10 points each with five wins in eight games, are at the second, third and fourth positions respectively. With the best net run rate, Rajasthan is second while Lucknow is third and Chennai is fourth.
If they defeat Mumbai Indians in today’s away match, Rajasthan Royals can regain the top spot in the points table. On the other hand, if they beat Rajasthan today, Mumbai have a chance to move up from the ninth position to the sixth position. Mumbai are currently ninth with just six points from seven games. Only Delhi Capitals, who have only two wins in eight games, are behind Mumbai.
