The iQOO 11 and iQOO 11 Pro were officially launched today. The two smartphones are almost identical in the most important points. It starts with the design. The iQOO 11 series brings the three-color stripe design, a cooperation with BMW M Motorsport. Underneath there is a material mix of fiberglass and vegan leather, which has been coated with a dirt-repellent finish.
Both have a 6.78-inch Samsung E6 AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,200 pixels, a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz, 1 trillion colors and HDR10+ support. The new Vivo V2 image processor supports high frame rates and mobile gaming. Both also share the same chip platform – the new one 4Nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with 8, 12 or 16GB of RAM. Storage has been upgraded to UFS 4.0. Up to 8 more GB can be added via Extended RAM 3.0. A vapor chamber cooling system with a 4,013 mm2 stainless steel chamber ensures suitable cooling.
iQOO 11 with UFS 4.0 storage
The camera systems are slightly different between the iQOO 11 and the 11 Pro. The iQOO 11 features a 50-megapixel 1/1.57-inch Samsung GN5 main camera, a 13-megapixel 3x portrait camera, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle with a 16mm focal length and fixed focus. The iQOO 11 Pro features a 1/1.49-inch 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide with a 150-degree angle of view, and the same 13-megapixel 3x portrait camera.
The cameras benefit from Pure Night View and 4K Super Night Video for improved noise reduction. There’s also Zero-Shutter-Lag Motion Snapshot mode, which captures images with virtually no shutter lag. Another difference between the iQOO 11 and the 11 Pro is the front glass. The Pro has curved glass on all sides over the 6.78 inch display. In the basic model, only the sides are curved in 2.5D.
The batteries and charging specifications are also different. The iQOO 11 has a 5,000 mAh battery that charges with up to 120 watts. The iQOO 11 Pro reduces the battery size to 4,700 mAh, but charges with up to 200 watts. In addition, the Pro has an additional 50 watts of fast wireless charging on board.
Prices
The iQOO 11 Pro is available for pre-order in China from December 21st. It costs CNY 4,999 (EUR 689) for the 8/256 GB model and CNY 5,499 (EUR 750) for the 12/256 GB model. The most expensive version stores 16/512 GB and costs 5,999 CNY (820 euros). Interestingly, the new phones will not only be sold in China and India, as usual, but also in Indonesia and Malaysia. This is exactly where the normal iQOO 11 starts, ahead of the home market of China. Perhaps the devices will also come to us in the medium term.
