Iran banned from UN women’s commission – Iran

A United Nations body has decided to exclude the country from the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) because of ongoing state violence once morest women protesters in Iran. 29 of the 54 member states of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (Ecosoc) voted in favor of a US resolution on Wednesday. Among others, Russia and China voted once morest the decision, Austria was in favor.
