Tehran: Iran has reportedly executed four citizens who were convicted of having links with the Israeli spy agency Mossad. Sources connected to Iran’s judiciary have reported that the government has sentenced four people, including a woman, to death.
A court has convicted four people from Iran’s northwestern province of West Azerbaijan in a subversion case linked to the Israeli regime. The judiciary’s news agency Mizan reported that they were hanged on Friday morning.
Mizan reports that three men, Wafa Hanareh, Aram Omari and Rahman Parhaso, and a woman, Nasim Namazi, were sentenced to death.
According to the Iranian government, they were punished for the crime of Moharebeh. That is, Iran said that the quartet fought against God and corrupted the earth through collaboration with the Zionist regime. Iran also accused the four who acted on the instructions of Mossad and organized against the country’s security and interests.
The four were charged with kidnapping Iranian security forces to extract intelligence and setting fire to the cars and apartments of some of the agents. Mirzan reported that some others involved in the same case were sentenced to 10 years in prison each. But the news agency says that no more information is available in this regard.
The media reported that a man convicted of working for the Mossad was executed by Iranian forces in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchistan.
