Iran..Quds Force commander killed in mysterious circumstances

Iran International channel revealed the killing of the leader of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Ismail Zadeh, in Karaj last Monday.

The source added that the commander of Unit 840 in the Quds Force died after falling from the roof of his house, while a family reported that he committed suicide due to psychological problems that accompanied his separation from his wife.

Informed sources indicated that Ismail Zadeh is close to صياد خدائي who was killed in an attack in front of his house last month.

The commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Major General Hossein Salami, accused “Zionists” of being behind the shooting assassination of Colonel Sayyad Khodaei in Tehran in May, in statements reported on the guards’ website, on Monday.

Salami said that Sayyad Khudaei was killed “at the hands of the most wretched of the wretched, that is, the Zionists, and God willing, we will avenge the blood of the martyr,” in statements reported by the “Sepah News” website.

He continued, “The enemy, from the heart of the White House and Tel Aviv, tracked for months and years Khadaei from house to house, and from alley to alley, until he was able to kill him.”

A week after the assassination of Iranian Revolutionary Guards Colonel Khodaei in the heart of Tehran, Israel issued a severe warning to its citizens against traveling to Turkey for fear of reprisals by the Iranians.

Khodaei died when armed men fired five shots at him on two motorcycles while he was in his car near his home in eastern Tehran on May 22, according to the official media.

In its obituary statement, the Guard blamed elements associated with “global arrogance”, the phrase used to refer to the United States and its allies.

The New York Times reported that Israel informed Washington that it had assassinated the Iranian officer, quoting an unnamed intelligence official.

The Guard confirmed that Khodaei was one of the “defenders of the holy shrines (defenders of the sanctuary),” which is the term used to refer to its personnel who performed missions in the conflicts in Syria and Iraq.

Tehran confirms the presence of members of its armed forces in an advisory capacity in Iraq to confront the “takfiri” elements, especially ISIS, and in Syria to support President Bashar al-Assad’s forces in the conflict in his country since 2011.

Iranian state television revealed that Khodaei was a cadre of the Quds Force entrusted with foreign operations in the Guard, and he was born in 1972 in East Azerbaijan Province, northwest of Iran.
