Iran warns Israel that it will attack at “the slightest movement” | The World | D.W.

In a speech during a military parade on the occasion of Army Day in Tehran, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi today (18.04.2022) warned Israel against any action targeting Iran.

“Know that if you carry out the slightest move against the Iranian nation, the target of our armed forces will be the center of the Zionist regime,” Raisi said, referring to Israel.

The Iranian president had declared that his country would not allow Israel to jeopardize the security of the region through any other country, including Iraq.

In March, Iran fired a dozen ballistic missiles at Erbil, the capital of Iraq’s autonomous Kurdistan region, slightly injuring two civilians.

The Revolutionary Guards, Iran’s ideological army, confirmed the missile launch, saying they were targeting a “strategic center” used by Israel. For his part, the governor of Erbil, Omed Khoshnaw, denied that there were “Israeli centers in the region.”

Thus, tanks, fighter jets and missiles paraded under the podium where the president was accompanied by senior officials from the Armed Forces.

Among the weapons displayed today were the “drones” or unmanned aircraft, devices that Tehran uses to carry out attacks in the region, according to Israel and the United States.

The Iranian Army used the occasion to show for the first time the Kaman-22 drone, an unmanned combat aircraft with a 24-hour flight capacity.

“Know that the great power of our armed forces will not leave you alone,” Raisi warned.
