Ireland will advocate for responsible and human-centered artificial intelligence (AI) development at the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit commencing in Paris tomorrow. Taoiseach micheál Martin will participate in the summit, which will convene world leaders, industry CEOs, and advocacy groups too deliberate on the future of AI.
Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke expressed the Irish government’s commitment to establishing ethical frameworks for AI. “This summit presents a valuable chance to engage with global political leaders,representatives from the private sector,the research community,and civil society organizations to discuss the diverse approaches to these technologies worldwide and identify areas where further international collaboration is essential,” stated Burke. “We fully support the implementation of guardrails for trustworthy, human-centered AI within the European Union,” he added.
