Irizar will manufacture 18 zero-emission buses for Switzerland and Liechtenstein

Irizar e-mobility together with their Swiss partner Jebsen & Jessen Industrial Solutions Schweiz AG, have signed
two new contracts in Switzerland and Liechtenstein for a total of 18 buses with the operators Bernmobil and BUS Ostschweiz, as reported this Thursday by the Gipuzkoan company.

On this occasion, the Swiss operator Bernmobil (Bern) has purchased 14 zero-emission buses of the ie bus model in its articulated 18-meter version. These buses are scheduled to run on lines 19 and 21 in the city of Bern in early 2023.

On the other hand, BUS Ostschweiz AG, which has recently been appointed to operate the LIEmobil lines for the next year, has entrusted Irizar e-mobility to cover the electrical service in Liechtenstein and will soon put into operation 4 Irizar 100% zero electric buses 12 meter long ie bus model emissions.

The batteries used in these buses are lithium-ion and are developed and manufactured at the Irizar e-mobility facilities in Aduna (Gipuzkoa). The other components and systems have also been designed with the Irizar Group’s own technology. Both contracts represent a further step in the Irizar Group’s positioning strategy of providing sustainable mobility solutions in the European market.
