Haylou Solar Lite Specifications
The Haylou Solar Lite is a smartwatch with dimensions of 46x46x9.9mm and a screen TFT with resolution of 240x240px. available in colors azul e talkit offers connection Bluetooth 5.3 and has a capacity to 240mAh battery. design and build
Right off the bat, we can say that Haylou Solar Lite has a visual language very similar to Solar Plus. Its circular design is composed of a slightly raised screen and has dimensions of 1.8 x 1.8 x 0.4 inches. On its side, the model has a single button that is also a rotating crown, but I couldn’t identify what its function is, since at no time can we interact with the watch’s software using the movement of the crown. Access to functions is performed only by touching the screen and the button is only for on off the device.
He has a silicone bracelet which follows the same format and design as the company’s other bracelets, with a slider built into the bracelet itself. From a visual point of view this is good news, as it gives a much more minimalist look. However, it’s not the kind of bracelet I appreciated, especially as my wrist is thicker than other people’s and this makes accessing the bracelet too tight to reach the loop.
One really cool thing is that, despite being an affordable smartwatch, the Solar Lite is rated IP68. This means you can rest assured against dust and water. On the back of the smartwatch, the part that comes into contact with the wrist, the sensors are positioned in a slightly raised circular area and, above it, there are two magnetic pins to secure the charging cable.
Canvas and system
The Haylou Solar Lite has a screen IPS TFT of 1.38 inch with a resolution of 240×240 pixels. The choice of this technology is precisely to make the product cheaper, but consequently this affects the image quality and user experience. For example, blacks aren’t as deep, looking more like a darker gray, and white items seem to have a bluish effect.
To be fair, something that works really well is the brightness level, which is quite high, which is a plus for anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors and needs to check the time or any other information that the watch offers. There is also the function Always-on Displaywhich is a differential between the most basic models on the market.
As for the system, the Haylou Solar Lite’s interaction is not as fluid, which is to be expected in models of this category. However, accessing the functions is practical and works well. The application for pairing the watch with the cell phone is the Haylou Fun, the same for all other models of the brand. The application is excellent and offers configuration options, customization and monitoring of vital signs and physical activities in an optimized and practical way.
Sensors
Sensors are an important part of any smart watch, and in the case of the Haylou Solar Lite we can highlight the stability of the heart rate sensor, but leaves something to be desired in terms of accuracy. It’s not always easy to be able to monitor heartbeats with the Solar Lite model. You can see that it uses a slightly more limited sensor than the one on the Plus model, so you may have to start the measurement process more than once to get more accurate information.
Plus it has a sensor. SpO2 for blood oxygenation monitoring and offers sleep monitoring, stress and also follow-up menstrual cycle for the female audience. A problem that irritated me a little is connected with the gyroscope used in the watch. This sensor detects the angle of the device and, in the case of the watch, it activates the screen when it senses that you have turned your wrist towards your eyes. However, this is not always the case with Solar Lite.
Battery
the battery of 240mAh of Haylou Solar Lite offers a good period of autonomy, which is even better than Solar Plus, even with a smaller capacity. This is because it requires less energy for performance and system access. In our tests, use Solar Lite for 13 dias until your battery runs out completely. When loading, I used a connection USB from the computer and the charging time took about 1h20which is also quite acceptable.
Is Haylou Solar Lite any good?
Haylou’s Solar series offers good smartwatch models at a very affordable price. The Solar Lite model has its faults, such as the problem with the gyroscope to turn on the screen without having to press the button, also the screen that has a very limited image quality, a rotating crown that does not work and a bracelet that may not be ideal for those with chubby arms (like me).
However, even so, I rate the Haylou Solar Lite as a benchmark in the entry-level market. There are a lot of watches out there that have a bad app, a screen that is hardly responsive to touch and that have a battery that pretends to be long-lasting. The Haylou Solar Lite stands out for having a good quality screen, a complete system that also has a menstrual cycle sensor and many (many) options of dials for customization.
My rating for Solar Lite is 8, judging from all its features, accessibility, comfort and ease of use. With this assessment, I recommend the purchase of Haylou Solar Lite for anyone looking for a basic smart watch, but capable of monitoring physical activities and requires a long-lasting battery without paying too much for it.
