In a message posted on LinkedIn, the president of the Jean Coutu and Brunet Group, Alain Champagne, announced the suicide of his daughter, who was having great difficulty living with the evolution of the symptoms of Lyme disease from which she suffered.
Mr. Champagne indicates in his message: “following years of medical wandering in Quebec – and finally having obtained a positive test in the United States last June”. It therefore seems very complex to obtain a clear diagnosis when the time comes to talk regarding Lyme disease.
At the microphone of Luc Ferrandez, microbiologist and infectiologist Amir Khadir commented on the situation and offered his view on the complexity of obtaining a diagnosis for Lyme disease in Quebec and even elsewhere.
