The waves break and are not alike. An intrigued reader wrote to us to find out about Covid-19 reinfections with the Omicron variant, which seem to her to be more frequent. Here is the crux of his question:
“More and more people around us are catching Covid again in a very short period of time. At first, I thought it was certainly because they had the Delta variant and that logically, they could be infected again by Omicron, given the differences in the level of the immune response according to what I have could read in your articles.
However, it now seems that people who have already had, in all likelihood, Omicron (since they had already had Delta, then Omicron), are again infected with Omicron.
