Thiruvananthapuram: CPM politburo member MA Baby has written an open letter to Opposition leader VD Satheesan on Facebook regarding the gold smuggling controversy. Baby said that the Congress in Kerala should not be made the scapegoat of the RSS and the allegations of the RSS puppet woman should not be accepted. Baby also demanded an end to the street riots in conspiracy with the RSS.
Full text of MA Baby’s letter:
Dear Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan,
As a leader of the Congress, I think you are aware of the crisis facing Indian democracy today. I am writing to you to request that the Congress in Kerala at this time should not be the scourge of the RSS under your leadership. Is it your political duty today to accept what a puppet woman in the hands of the RSS says and let the ranks line up to attack Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan, the Chief Minister of Kerala, in the streets?
2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the RSS. This semi-fascist militia is interested in taking big steps towards achieving the RSS goal of a Hindu Rashtra. They are taking steps one by one. They went a long way in abolishing the concept of a secular nation, the cornerstone of India’s constitution and democracy.
With the tacit approval of the Congress government, they demolished the Babri Masjid and divided the people of India on the basis of religion. All subsequent communal riots were used by the RSS to spread its narrow political vision. The BJP became the ruling party in India with the massacres, including the riots in Gujarat. They have taken away the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and demoted it as a Union Territory, discriminated against minorities in civil rights, and made everyday religious minorities, human rights activists, Dalit-backward classes, workers, students and intellectuals insecure.
They are planning events to demolish more churches and cause more bloodshed. They also seek to criminalize the social life of religious minorities, adivasis and other marginalized people by imposing a unified civil code. According to Manmohan Singh, it was the Modi regime that shot and punctured the tire of a moving car, as India had said. The Sangh Parivar is plotting to turn the country into an immediate Hindu-Muslim dispute by provoking the Prophet by insulting him while the country is suffocating due to unaffordable inflation and never-before-seen unemployment.
At the time of writing, the house of a student leader of JNU in Prayag Raj (Allahabad) in Uttar Pradesh is being bulldozed. Execution of sentence without trial, trial and trial for the crime of reacting against blasphemy! What is the Congress doing in Kerala, which has given the largest number of MPs to the Congress, when the democracy of our country is facing this challenge? Giving 19 of the 20 MPs to your front is a misconception that you will be a force against the semi-fascist regime.
But you are conspiring with the RSS and taking to the streets with them. If there is any impression of high political consciousness in Kerala, I request that such tragedies be stopped and that the first task be to fight against the RSS.
