If you are looking for a wireless headset, the JBL Tune 770NC could be an option. Although it’s similar to its predecessor, the Tune 670NC, there are a few new features you need to keep an eye on. In this analysis, I present the usage experience and main features of the JBL Tune 770NC, which has been my headphone for 30 days.

Design and Portability

Design do JBL Tune 770NC

The design of the JBL Tune 770NC is not flashy, it features a plastic finish and ear cushions with that synthetic material that tend to heat up during prolonged use. However, they are lightweight, making them comfortable to wear.

Furthermore, its ability to fold makes it easy to transport and saves space, ideal for placing inside your backpack without taking up too much space.

It comes in three colors, black, white and blue, the version I tested was black, which I personally think is the ideal color, without worrying about getting dirty and maintains a discreet profile.

The controls are all located on the right ear cup, with some relatively simple physical buttons. They are: volume control, toggle between active noise cancellation (ANC) and the power button. The same ear cup also has a USB-C port and a 3.5 mm input.

Resources

One of the main highlights is the JBL Headphones app, which offers full control over the headphones’ features. This includes active noise cancellation (ANC), voice assistant setup.

Equalization

Most importantly, the app offers presets for the equalizer (EQ), allowing you to adjust the sound curve according to your preferences. The JBL Tune 770NC headphones already provide great sound quality, but it’s always good to be able to customize the settings.

Multipoint

Multipoint support allows you to connect two devices simultaneously, an increasingly useful feature in our multi-device world.

Long battery life

The JBL Tune 770NC impresses with its battery life. With ANC deactivated, the mode I used here, as they really isolate you from the outside world, in this condition the battery can last up to 70 hours. In my test, it was possible to use 2 weeks during business hours without needing to charge. Even with ANC activated, the promise of 44 hours of use.

Plus, the five-minute fast charging capability that provides three hours of use is a nice addition. I didn’t use fast charging, because when the battery ran out the first time, I left it charging overnight.

Sound Quality

JBL 770NC is available

Thanks to the over-ear design, the Tune 770NC is effective at blocking out external noise, providing a listening experience that I really enjoyed. Although the ANC options are not as quantitative, with only off, on or ambient sound coming in, the settings are effective.

The native sound of the Tune 770NC, without any equalization, all in standard mode, is robust, with powerful bass and a wide soundstage. The ability to adjust the equalizer and choose between audio presets or customize settings allows for a listening experience even more tailored to your preferences.

Regardless of the musical genre, the JBL Tune 770NC offers a solid performance, leaning towards the bass, this could be an advantage for those who like this sound profile.

Noise cancellation

If you want to use it for outdoor activities, such as walking or running, know that the noise cancellation will do a great job, you can listen to a podcast without interruptions with the noises of cars or trucks passing by you. Just be careful not to get distracted.

Price

The price of R$499 is a high value for many people, now due to the sound qualities, autonomy and comfort, it is worth investing in something that is good. After all, you don’t buy headphones every year, and if you do, you’re buying the wrong one.

Conclusion

JBL Tune 770NC

Pros Sound qualityNoise cancellationLong battery life Cons Price could be an offer

The JBL Tune 770NC is an option that offers long battery life, noise-canceling performance, and customizable sound. Although the plastic design and ear cushions can get hot, it’s a headset to consider, especially if you’re looking for something to last longer.

Despite some imperfections, such as the not-so-attractive design, the strengths of the JBL Tune 770NC outweigh its weaknesses. If you’re looking for headphones with excellent battery life and customizable sound quality, this one deserves your attention.
