If there’s one thing we hate, it’s waiting for Netflix series to continue. The streaming service regularly provides supplies, but fans are getting impatient with one series: “Ginny & Georgia”, the unequal mother-daughter team, delighted the audience at the beginning of 2021. Almost 1.5 years later, the new season is still a long time coming – or could it be soon? Everything we know so far.
While many thought that ‘Ginny and Georgia’ would be very similar to the cult series ‘Gilmore Girls’, the first season proved otherwise! It was much more dramatic and also darker.
What has happened so far: Ginny (Antonia Gentry) is 15 and feels more mature than her 30-year-old mother, Georgia (Briane Howey), who gravitates towards chaos and drama. When mother and daughter move to a small town with Ginny’s little brother Austin, they want to make a fresh start. But of course everything turns out differently: Ginny falls for two classmates, Georgia flirts with the cute mayor and Austin has problems at school. The drama unfolds, dark secrets from Georgia’s past come to light and in the end (Warning, spoilers!) Ginny and Austin flee to Ginny’s father Zion.
This should be in the second season are more prominent, as is Austin’s biological father, who is in prison. There’s also the question of what’s next between Georgia and the mayor…
Filming is complete
The good news: Filming for season 2 has already ended – since April 2022. However, the series still had to be reproduced. Judging by the start date of the first season, the second would not appear until early 2023. However, fans suspect that the second season will still Late 2022 on Netflix is published – almost as a surprise. We are excited!
