It’s almost ridiculous how much some people miss the old Twitter. You can feel it: in regular, slightly wistful postings on X, as it is now called, and on its successor, Bluesky. The “old” has a double meaning here: On the one hand, it stands for a Twitter from a year and a half ago, before Elon Musk bought the platform and erratically transformed it into a gathering place for disinformation and trolling. But it often somehow stands for a different Internet. The way it used to be – or at least the way you remember it.
