It was on Wednesday that Isabella Löwengrip, 33, gave her blog readers an update on the breast surgery she underwent a few days ago. Löwengrip said that she chose to reduce and lift her breasts as they changed in size for various reasons:

“With my previous eating disorder and all the weight fluctuations, the breasts changed in size all the time, as well as breastfeeding the children. It has caused the breasts to become droopy when I have gained weight,” she writes on her blog.

The entrepreneur goes on to say that she “really [har] suffered from the breasts”:

“I have dreamed of being able to wear dresses without a bra, to be able to show my back or use a straight dress model without becoming a tent. I want to own my body, before my breasts owned me,” she writes.

Isabella Löwengrip on breast surgery: “A relief”

The operation must have gone well and Löwengrip tells Aftonbladet that it has had a big effect on her mood:

“Good, I’m overjoyed! It might sound a bit trite to be so happy about breast surgery, but it’s really a relief for me and something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time now.”

She also says that it is a lifestyle change that is behind the decision:

“I have always had a naturally large bust and enjoyed it. But my life before was not so active, I wore nice dresses and went to galas. Back then I liked being this curvy woman in a beautiful dress,” she says. “Now I don’t want to be that busty ‘gala’ Isabella anymore. Instead, I train, hike and mountain bike. The breasts have been in the way and controlled what I am capable of. My big dream has been to be able to jump, shoot and run without being bothered by my breasts.”

The procedure included a lift with silicone, something that Löwengrip mentions in his blog. However, she tells Aftonbladet that the speculation about a previous breast operation is unfounded:

“[J]ag can understand why people wondered since they resized back and forth. But it is because of my eating disorder, that I am healthy from now on. It made my weight fluctuate 25 kilos up and down over the years. But I have never had my breasts enlarged.”
