Kerala Blasters co-coach Ishfaq Ahmed has left the club. The club officially announced that the contract with the coach was terminated by mutual agreement. Ishfaq, who was also a former player of Kerala Blasters, was working as the team’s co-coach for the last four years. Earlier, when the head coaches left the club, it was Ishfaq who took charge of the team. This Kashmiri footballer is also a member of the technical committee of the All India Football Federation. Ishfaq started his coaching career with Kerala Blasters in 2015. Back then, he would wear the coach’s jersey and walk out on the field with the team as a player. Then, after retirement in 2017, he joined Jamshedpur as an assistant coach under former Kerala Blasters coach Steve Koppel. Then in 2019, Ishfaq returned to Kerala Blasters as an assistant coach. The coach leaves the club after the club is out of the Super Cup.

Carolis Skinkis, Sporting Director of Kerala Blasters thanked Ishfaq for being with the team for the last four years.
