Jerusalem – Israeli President Isaac Herzog has invited former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who won a majority in the elections, to form a government. Now the time allowed is 28 days.
Herzog also said that the trial in the corruption case is not a legal obstacle to becoming the prime minister. Netanyahu will become the Prime Minister of Israel for the fifth time.
The coalition, which includes Netanyahu’s Likud Party and Itamar Benghavir’s Religious Zionism Party, won 64 seats in the 120-member parliament in the Nov. 1 election.
