France is following developments related to the judicial reform project in Israel with concern. It recalls its deep attachment to the democratic principles which form the basis of the friendship between our two countries.
France calls on Israeli political leaders to refrain from any action or declaration likely to aggravate the crisis.
We conveyed this message to Ambassador Haim Waxman, Chargé d’Affaires ai of the Israeli Embassy in France, who was received at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs last Friday.
