Israel has recorded a first case of Covid-19 mixed with influenza, called Flurona (contraction of flu which means flu in English and corona).
This double contamination was diagnosed in an unvaccinated pregnant woman, presenting mild symptoms of breathing difficulties.
This discovery, which is not the first because it has already been observed in 2020 in the United States, raises questions at a time when the variants are at the origin of new waves of contamination; specialists fear in particular having to manage two epidemics at the same time.
