Israeli raids today targeted weapons depots of the Lebanese Hezbollah on the outskirts of Damascus.

For its part, a military source cited by the official Syrian media claimed that “the Israeli enemy carried out an air strike from the occupied Golan, which targeted military positions” in the Damascus region.
The same source added that the Syrian air defense took action and “shot down missiles”.
Since the start of the civil war in Syria in 2011, the Israeli military has carried out hundreds of airstrikes in the neighboring country, mostly targeting pro-Iranian groups, including the Shiite Islamist movement Hezbollah, which is fighting alongside the regime.
