Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Syrian authorities announced, on Saturday, that “3 civilians were injured and material damage was caused as a result of an aggression that targeted points in the vicinity of the city of Homs,” accusing Israel of being behind the attack, which rarely acknowledges attacks on Syria.
The official Syrian news agency “SANA” quoted a military source as saying: “At regarding 12:50 am today, the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression with a number of missiles from the direction of northern Lebanon, targeting some points in the vicinity of the city of Homs, and our air defense media intercepted the aggression’s missiles.” Some of them were dropped,” he said.
The source added, “The aggression resulted in the injury of 3 civilians, the ignition of a civilian gas station, and the burning of a number of tanks and trucks.”
No statement was issued by Israel, nor did it respond to the Syrian declaration.
