The Israeli army and rescue services announced that attacks carried out by Lebanese Hezbollah on Sunday wounded seven Israeli soldiers and 10 other people.

The clashes came as a result of continuing skirmishes between the group and the Israeli army along the Lebanese-Israeli border, which threatens to spread the escalation to another front in the Middle East.

The Israeli army said in a statement that seven of its soldiers were slightly injured as a result of the firing of mortar shells in the Al-Manara area in northern Israel earlier on Sunday, according to what was reported by the Associated Press.

The Israeli Rescue Service did not mention the location or provide information about the other ten wounded as a result of the explosion of the rockets and their fragments, but said that two of them were in critical condition.

The Israeli army stated that it identified 15 launches from Lebanon during the past hour, and that its defense systems intercepted four of them, and the rest fell in open areas.

Meanwhile, the military wing of the Hamas movement claimed responsibility for the bombing of northern Haifa and the Israeli border towns of Naoura and Shlomi from southern Lebanon, without providing any further details.

Israeli officials said Hezbollah fired its first anti-tank missiles at an Israeli town across the border on Sunday, seriously wounding utility workers.

The Israeli army reported that it targeted the source of the launch with artillery fire, and the Israeli Electricity Company said that workers in the Doviv area were injured while repairing lines that were damaged in a previous attack.

Israeli media reported that six people were injured, one of them in serious condition.

Israel bombed several towns in southern Lebanon, including Yaroun, Mays al-Jabal, and Alma al-Shaab.

On Sunday evening, the Israeli army published a video clip showing raids on what it said was Hezbollah’s infrastructure, including “a military complex that includes a weapons depot and military infrastructure.”

For its part, Hezbollah said that its fighters “targeted a logistical force belonging to the occupation army that was about to install transmission poles and eavesdropping and spying devices in a new gathering near the Doviev barracks, and caused confirmed casualties, including one dead and one wounded,” adding that it struck an Israeli military bulldozer in a separate attack. .

Shortly after the attack, sirens were heard in northern Israel.

Hezbollah later announced attacks on Israeli military concentrations and barracks in the border areas of Birkat Risha and Zarit, as clashes continued to escalate.
