JERUSALEM: At least 17 Palestinians have been injured in clashes between Israeli police and al-Aqsa mosque in the Old City of Jerusalem during morning prayers. 9 people were arrested. Hundreds of Palestinians were also arrested in a raid on a mosque two days ago.

The Israeli explanation is that they entered the mosque to prepare the way for the Jewish pilgrims. He was accused of throwing stones at the church compound and obstructing it.
