After more than a week of waiting for Iranian revenge for the murder of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, life in Israel has returned to normal at first glance. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on citizens to remain firm and calm; the military was ready to deal with threats from all sides. “We are surrounded by enemies, but we will win,” Netanyahu said, as he has often done before, wearing a peaked cap emblazoned with the words “Total Victory.”
