Cairo: Two Israeli citizens were shot dead by a police officer in Egypt. During the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, an Egyptian police officer shot and killed Israeli citizens who were tourists. Another Egyptian citizen was also killed in the violence.

A police officer opened fire on an Israeli tourist group visiting the Egyptian city of Alexandria. The media also reported that he was not attacked using his professional weapon.

Police informed that the police officer who attacked the tourists has been arrested. The Israeli Foreign Ministry identified the dead and injured. The ministry said in a statement that Israeli authorities are working with the Egyptian government to repatriate Israeli citizens.
