Geneva/Gaza | The United Nations has condemned Israel’s decision to completely block the Gaza Strip in Palestine. This decision will worsen the current situation. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said that there is a lot of pain in Israel’s position.

He said the current conflict did not arise out of a vacuum but stemmed from decades of occupation with no end in sight. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced that no basic necessities such as food, water and fuel would be allowed to be transported into Gaza. Gaza has been under Israeli land, air and naval blockade since 2007.

Meanwhile, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has announced that there is a mass exodus in Gaza. In the last 24 hours, 1.8 lakh people have left their homes and reached refugee camps. It is likely to increase. 1.37 lakh people live in 83 schools of Unarwa. Food for them is distributed in collaboration with the World Food Program (WFP).
