confirmed GizaThe start of the trial operation of the axis of Lieutenant General Kamal Amer Al-Hur, tomorrow, Thursday, in the distance from its intersection with the ring road in the Munib region in the south, until its intersection with the ring road in the north in the Imbaba region, with a length of 12 km, which was completed by the Central Agency for Reconstruction, affiliated to the Ministry of Housing. Represented by the Greater Cairo Reconstruction Authority, within the framework of the vision of developing axes and roads in areas that suffer from traffic density.
In the following lines, “The Seventh Day” explains the most important information about the axis of Lieutenant General Kamal Amer.
1- The first free traffic artery linking the north and south of Giza.
2- A new link linking Giza and Cairo governorate through several entrances.
3- The axis extends from Al-Munib Ring in the south to Al-Warraq in the north until Farag In the Tahya Misr axis, it is 15 km long and (33-65.5) meters wide.
4- The project included the construction of a free corridor in two directions with a width of (3-4) traffic lanes in each direction.
5- The project witnessed the development of surface roads to serve the traffic movement of the people with a width of (2-3) traffic lanes in each direction.
6- It connects the main transverse axes (July 26 – League of Arab States – Saft El Laban – Faisal – Haram).
7- It connects the streets of (Al-Sadr Hospital – Thirtieth – Khatam Al-Mursaleen – Imbaba Airport).
8- The new axis solves many traffic problems in Giza.
9- Reducing traffic congestion in Giza Square, the 26th of July Corridor, and the Saft El Laban Corridor.
10- The new axis provides half of the journey distance between the north and south of the ring road by exploiting the western arc of the ring road.
11- The project included the construction of free intersections to connect with the ring road and the main traffic axes intersecting with it.
12- The project witnessed the exploitation of the available spaces below to establish garages and service points for citizens.
