It is a mistake to exclude yourself from the call for dialogue in the AN

The lawyer and political analyst Johel Orta Moros described as a serious error the absence of a sector of the opposition in the dialogue convened by the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez.

“We are obliged to talk. The National Assembly is the political forum par excellence, so all factors and actors must participate. If we accuse the government of sectarianism and do not attend the call, we are acting in the same way and excluding ourselves.”

He recalled that during the last electoral campaign, President Nicolás Maduro, in his capacity as a candidate for re-election, proposed a great national dialogue, as well as changes and transformations.

However, he insisted that “to achieve these objectives that the Republic requires and not lose ourselves as a Nation-State, we must move towards a frank and sincere dialogue, not a sectarian or deaf dialogue.”

“Unfortunately, in recent years, Venezuelan democracy has been marked by sectarianism, which prevents us from listening or seeing beyond our own noses. It is not understood that beyond our vision it is not unique; We all make up the nation, not just a partial vision,” he indicated.

The political analyst emphasized that to achieve the peace that we Venezuelans desire, it is essential to return to the path of the Constitution. “Venezuela is being lost to us and we have the obligation to rescue it together, fulfilling and enforcing what is established in our Magna Carta.”

Likewise, he stated that those who call for foreign intervention or the imposition of sanctions incur a crime, and the Venezuelan State has the obligation to enforce the law. “That is expressed in our Constitution; “The law must be applied.”
