Katja Istel wanted to “Who wants to be a millionaire?” get the million yesterday. But the first stumbling block came with the 2000 euro question.

All jokers used up
For Jauch, Istel worked through the questions at such a pace that he even complained that he couldn’t do his job as a moderator properly.
After she had also used the 50:50 joker for the 32,000 euro question, only the telephone joker remained for the next task. Because even to the question “Who is not one of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council? A: Germany, B: France, C: Great Britain, D: USA” she had no answer.
The problem: Her helper Heiko didn’t know exactly either. And caused stress for Katja Istel. When he didn’t want to commit to an answer, the candidate urged: “Say what you think and rule something out! Six seconds. Hey!»
Better to give up than go empty handed
But too late: the time ran out without an answer. After the flop phone, Jauch blamed his interlocutor. “It’s also the sound,” warned the moderator. Only to imitate her: “‘Heiko, come on, say something now, six seconds!’ He just trembled like an aspen leaf.”
Not only did he get laughter from the audience, but he was also able to wring a smile out of Istel. Despite her better mood, she didn’t want to venture any further. Instead of guessing at luck, she was satisfied with 32,000 euros.
