Kuwait City | Kuwait has temporarily suspended the issuance of work visas to nationals of certain countries. In this regard, a local daily reported quoting ministry sources that a verbal instruction was given to the housing affairs department of all the six governorates of the country. The paper also reports that the decision has come into effect. After this, the institutions that submitted their visa application through the online service of Manavasethi Samiti have not received any approval or any other response except that the application has been accepted. However, it is not clear from which countries the temporary work visa ban has been imposed.
In the past few days, the Ministry of Home Affairs has temporarily stopped issuing family visas, visitor visas etc. to foreigners. Following this, the granting of work visas to some nationals has been temporarily suspended.
