Abu Dhabi Department of Agriculture and Food Safety advises those who deliver home-cooked or cultivated products to consumers online. Individuals and families engaged in such trades are required to register under the Productive Family Program under the Department. The Productive Family Program encourages the sale of home-grown food and produce to consumers through e-commerce systems, but products cannot be sold without registration and prior approval. The Food Safety Authority has stated that this warning is in consideration of the safety of the people.
