The Coaticookoise, who had previously been in danger, was indeed saved by viewers of the popular show, during the second Variety relayed last Sunday (February 6), on the airwaves of TVA. “It doesn’t make sense, I just can’t believe it yet,” she said the day after her performance, live from Maplewood Manor in Waterloo. In this choice of the public, it is certain that Coaticook was there. I have no words to express the extreme gratitude I have towards all those who voted for me. I want people to know that it’s very appreciated and that it was for them that I sang.
During her first week at the Academy, Sandrine mentioned that there had been a “before and after compared to her endangerment song”. “At the start, my evaluation song was supposed to be a piece by Roxane Bruneau, but the teachers weren’t too sure of my choice. They wanted to see my sweetness. It is for this reason that I turned to the song “Memories found” [de Francine Raymond]. It made more sense in my ear and in my heart. It was important for me to explore this area more deeply and take advantage of this danger to go and work on it.
The bet will therefore have paid off. “I find that his strength is his greatest gentleness. And her gentleness is her greatest strength. She is wonderful,” Guylaine Tremblay hastened to say following Sandrine’s singing tour, noting at the same time that she had connected with the text.
