It was as if he was on edge and would have grabbed the referee and hit him; Xavi on how Barca calmed down the star

Barca coach Xavi talks about the events that happened during the Barcelona-Celta Vigo match in La Liga last night. Savi says that superstar Rafinya was angry with the referee for not allowing a penalty in the match and finally managed to calm down the star after taking him to the dressing room.

The incident took place at Celta Vigo’s home ground. Both teams created several scoring chances, but only Barca managed to find the only goal of the match.

Barca winger Rafinha was furious that they won the match by one goal but were not allowed the penalty they deserved.

Rafinha, who advanced with the ball, was obstructed by Celta Vigo player Javi Gallen inside the penalty box. However, the referee disallowed the penalty.

But Rafinya was not at all satisfied with this. Because of this, Savi says that even after reaching the dressing room, he was in a frenzy and finally everyone calmed him down.

“We had to pacify Rafinya in the dressing room. He was so angry with the referee. He told me it was really a penalty,’ says Xavi.

Meanwhile, Barca took the lead with a goal scored by superstar Pedri Gonsalves in the 17th minute. Barca continue their unbeaten run in La Liga with back-to-back wins.

After the match against Celta Vigo, Barca overtook Real in the first place in the La Liga points table.

Both have seven wins and one draw from eight matches, but Barca came first on the basis of goal difference.

Barca’s next match is on October 16. The rivals of the Catalans are Real in El Clásico, where La Liga awaits.
