I wrote The late Queen of Britain, Elizabeth II, A “secret” letter to citizens of Sydney, Australia, hidden inside one of the city’s most famous buildings, but it will not be read until 63 years later.
This letter is located in the Queen Victoria building in the business district of Sydney, and “there are strict instructions not to open it until 2085,” according to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”.
The Queen also penned the letter after major renovations to the building in November 1986. Not even her personal staff knows what she wrote.
The letter is framed in a glass case, and only the Queen’s instructions are visible from it.

The instructions read: “To the Mayor of Sydney, Australia… Please open this envelope on a convenient day of your choosing in the year 2085, and pass on my message to the citizens of Sydney.”
It is noteworthy that Queen Elizabeth, 96, died Thursday, and her death caused deep sadness and warm praises from various countries of the world, after spending 70 years on the throne.
The Queen’s funeral will be held on September 19 in London, to be buried in the chapel of Windsor Castle, near the British capital.
