Doha: The Qatar Meteorological Department has said that there is a chance of rain in Qatar till Wednesday. The department has informed in the latest weather forecast that there will be rain from Monday evening to Wednesday. A warning has also been issued that there may be rain with thunder on Tuesday. The advisory has indicated that rainfall will vary in intensity and southerly winds are likely on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the wind will be in northwesterly direction. At times there will be sudden, strong winds.
Due to the effect of wind, there will be a noticeable drop in temperature. Maximum temperature will be between 17 degree Celsius and 21 degree Celsius. Minimum temperature will be between 11 degree Celsius and 16 degree Celsius. The department also warned that the temperature will drop further in the southern and outer regions.
On Monday, Abu Samra and Karana recorded a minimum temperature of 11 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was 12 degrees in Shahania, Dukhan, Turaina, Guwairia, Jumailia and Mukainis. The temperature reached 13 degrees in Qatar University and Al Khor.
The minimum temperature was 14 degrees Celsius at Hamad Airport, Wakrah, Mesaieed and Umm Bab and 15 degrees Celsius at Ruwais, Doha Airport and Shaheimiyyah.
