“When all rugby matches were canceled, I wondered what I could do, even without a medical background. There was a shortage of drivers.” It started with transporting masks, clothing and food, but soon Mbanda was given the task of moving infected persons.

“I help lift people on stretchers, help people out of their wheelchairs in the ambulance or hold bottles of oxygen.” Wearing protective clothing with double gloves, a mask, glasses and special shoes is absolutely necessary. “Before you go out, remember to go to the toilet.
