Italy | Dybala’s agent arrives; Inter, on the prowl

The decisive days for the future of Paulo Dybala are approaching. Despite the physical problems, the Argentine was the player who scored the most goals this year at Juventus, 12, to which must be added six assists. His importance in the team is unquestionable, but in the last two months a renewal that seemed to be closed has cooled. Or frozen, rather.

There was an agreement in principle for a salary of around nine million net plus variables, but the club, in December, asked him to postpone the signing until February. Later, CEO Arrivabene publicly stated that Dybala “had to demonstrate that value” and that he had to understand “the weight of number 10 at Juventus.” Phrases that, obviously, the Argentine did not like.

His agent, Jorge Antun, will meet with the Bianconera board next week to try to bring positions closer together. It will be complicated, since the club’s idea is to offer a lower contract compared to the previous proposal. The striker, however, does not lack alternatives.

As reported by AS in August, Inter is already interested in his situation and CEO Marotta is still on the lookout. The manager who took him to Turin would gladly sign him as a free agent in July, and it would not be difficult to offer him a salary of around 8 million net after some sale (such as Vidal’s). Staying in Italy is not the only option for the ex-Palermo player. In the Premier they are followed, among others, by the Tottenham of the old acquaintance Paratici, and in Spain, there were already rumors about the interest of Barcelona and Atleti. It will be a very long soap opera.
