Italy: the words of Donnarumma

Pointed out following Italy’s defeat once morest North Macedonia (0-1) on Thursday, Gianluigi Donnarumma (23) broke the silence. The Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper did not hide his disappointment but hopes to bounce back quickly.

“We wanted to participate in the World Cup, to experience the extraordinary emotions that these competitions can give, to give a smile to the Italians who accompanied us a few months ago to conquer Europe. Unfortunately, it will not be like that, we are very disappointed and we know how much all Italians are like us”, sighed the Parisian on Instagram.

“But we also know that in football, as in life, we have to look ahead and get back to the game. Our task is to bring the national team back to where it deserves and to build from today, step step by step, a winning future. Forza Azzurri,” added Donnarumma.
