The 20th Int. After the World Championships, the Wilson Masters Open by Ali Bey Club Manavgat is part of the ITF’s largest senior tournament series. With 50 entries, our Austrian players were very well represented. The successes were also impressive.
Peter Pokorny triumphed in the men’s 80+ category and also took third place in the 75+ class in the mixed competition. Helmut Flagel won the men’s doubles 75+. In the mixed competition 65+ Hildegard Bruggraber won, who also reached the final in the women’s doubles 65+.
Other finalists were the Austrian seniors in mixed doubles 65+ with Silvia Reigl, who also won the singles Consolation 65+, and in men’s doubles 70+ with Alexander Haupt-Buchenrode and Harald Hellmonseder.
Third places went to Harald Hellmonseder in men’s singles 70+, in mixed doubles 35+ Claudia Hartl with partner Marco Pinter as well as Christian Hebenstreit and Werner Malliga in men’s doubles 65+.
