It’s a mess at Efteling: attractions stopped, some visitors evacuated (VIDEO)

Many attractions have been shut down. Luckily, the majority of them run on a generator, so visitors might finish their tour when the blackout occurred. But other park visitors unfortunately found themselves stranded on certain attractions and had to be evacuated.

The Monorail, a roller coaster for children, notably found itself at a standstill, and security had to intervene to free the users.

The Gondoletta, a nautical attraction made up of small boats, also had to be evacuated.

According to a spokesperson for the manager Enexis, mechanics are trying to solve the problem. Restarting might take several hours. An investigation to identify the causes of the failure has been opened.
