The 22 fan configuration
In mid-September, a user wanted to answer the million-dollar question: what happens if you put a lot (too many) fans on a gaming PC? Surprisingly, the answer was that nothing would happen, because the number of fans stacked on top of each other would render most of them useless. However, someone else wanted to take it a step further and, instead of trying them all stacked up, gave it a try by installing 20+ fans in different positions in their gaming PC case.
As you can see in the original post on Reddit, a user decided to test the practicality of installing 17 fans in addition to the 5 fans already integrated into other elements of the computer. In this way, the protagonist of this story seeks to test the effectiveness of 22 fans to moderate the temperature of his computer. And, to everyone’s surprise, its design has convinced a multitude of users, but the vast majority ignore a fundamental aspect: cable organization.
A real hassle when it comes to cable management
Too many cables in a gaming PC can, for example, lead to heat retention in certain areas of the device. Too many fans therefore lead to a multitude of cables, which is counterproductive in itself. However, many have become “design fanatics” and so the user decided to share the number of fans he placed per zone:

So, in addition to the 17 fans mentioned above, there are 5 other fans already present on other components which carry alongside them all the cables necessary to make everything work. Surprisingly, the protagonist of the story admits that the result is functional, even if he thought of cable ties to make everything “less chaotic”. He affirms that “you can hear the metal groaning, swelling and twisting”a situation he compares to “a sinking submarine on the verge of imploding”. Nevertheless, he opted for the most practical solution for ” avoid “and he says well ” avoid “messy cables: close the box and don’t think about it.
