Itxaso Mardones, Gloria Serra’s reporter in laSexta’s ‘Investigative Team’, dies at 45

The members of the program ‘Research team’from laSexta, reported this Tuesday on the death of its reporter Itxaso Mardones, at 45 years of age, for reasons that have not been revealed. The news was known late in the followingnoon of this Tuesday, April 23.

“Today is a sad day for ‘Investigation Team’. Our colleague and friend Itxaso has gone forever and leaves us a very difficult gap to fill. Thank you for your smile, for being such a good colleague and for your passion for journalism “Always with us, Itxaso,” wrote the space’s corporate account, subscribed to by all of its colleagues.

The journalist from Vitoria has been working for years on the program presented by Gloria Serra on the network, following passing through programs such as ‘Seen and Heard’, presented by Joaquín Prat and Raquel Sánchez Silva in the followingnoons of Cuatro and ‘España direct’ (TVE), among others.

Journalist and all-terrain reporter, Itxaso Mardones began her professional career in different local radio and television stations in Álava, shortly following making her big leap to Madrid and joining different programs on Cuatro, TVE and Atresmedia.
